Germany 1954 World Cup Champions Jersey – TOFFS Retro – The Miracle of Bern – Size L
One of the Most Authentic Reproductions of the Legendary 1954 World Cup Jersey
This Germany jersey is something special and differs significantly from many of the later DFB reproductions of the 1954 World Cup shirt.
It is an original TOFFS retro jersey from the early 2000s, produced during the period when TOFFS held an official DFB license to reproduce the legendary Germany 1954 World Cup jersey. According to contemporary reports, the licensing agreement with the DFB was established as early as 2000. Demand for the shirt increased significantly around the release of the film The Miracle of Bern.
TOFFS – The Old Fashioned Football Shirt Company – became well known for producing highly authentic reproductions of historic football shirts. Their 1954 Germany jersey is particularly interesting for collectors of historic football memorabilia.
What Makes This TOFFS Jersey Special?
Compared with many later DFB retro versions, this early TOFFS edition is more substantial and closely follows the historical original.
The jersey features a heavier, more robust cotton construction, giving it a noticeably more substantial feel. Details such as the cut, collar and overall construction were reproduced with great attention to the original 1954 design.
For collectors familiar with the different 1954 reproductions, the difference is immediately noticeable. This TOFFS version has a particularly authentic appearance and comes remarkably close to the shirt worn by the German team at the 1954 World Cup.
As a football shirt collector myself, this is the version I would choose.
The jersey shown with number 12 is only an example of a possible flocking option.
The jersey offered here is supplied with 15 Jahre Max, from fitnessstudio anniversary
If desired, the number can be added in a historical style. Other squad numbers are also possible.
It is important to note that the German players did not wear player names on the back of their shirts in 1954. A flocking such as “12 Rahn” is therefore a later collector's/reproduction detail inspired by the 1954 World Cup.
Number 12 represents Helmut Rahn, the player who scored the legendary winning goal in the 3–2 World Cup final victory over Hungary.
The Miracle of Bern
On July 4, 1954, West Germany faced Hungary in the World Cup final at the Wankdorf Stadium in Bern.
Hungary were the overwhelming favourites and took an early 1–0 lead through Ferenc Puskás. After Zoltán Czibor made it 2–0, the match appeared to be going Hungary's way.
But Germany fought back:
-
1–2 – Max Morlock, 10th minute
-
2–2 – Helmut Rahn, 18th minute
-
3–2 – Helmut Rahn, 84th minute
Rahn's 84th-minute goal gave Germany its first-ever World Cup title.
The unexpected victory became known as the “Miracle of Bern” and remains one of the defining moments in German football history.
Germany would later win the World Cup again in 1974 and 1990.

A Piece of Football History
This TOFFS 1954 World Cup jersey is not an original match-worn shirt from 1954, but a historical, officially licensed TOFFS reproduction from the early 2000s. These early TOFFS editions are particularly interesting to collectors because they were produced with great attention to the details of the original shirt.
For collectors and football shirt enthusiasts, this is a fantastic opportunity to own one of the most authentic reproductions of the legendary Germany shirt from the “Miracle of Bern.”
